Breast Nurture PhytoEssencing blend La Fonte de Lait (French) for "fount of milk" - is a unique, multi-dimensional essential oil blend designed to support the subtle energies associated with both the physical and psycho-spiritual aspects of the female breasts.
Resonance Qualities: vital force, nurturing, heart center, resolving emotional issues.
Breast Nurture Oil or La Fonte de Lait is a subtle-acting formula designed to support the body's vital force and its self-healing mechanism. It is not intended for use in the direct treatment of disease. Whenever serious disease is a factor, the individual should be under the care of a qualified physician. Anyone suffering from breast cancer or any other serious health disorder should seek the advice of a physician before beginning use of this or any other health-related product.
The Breasts and Spiritual Nourishment
Unlike most other mammals, the human infant suckles from breasts located in the region of the heart: the seat of shen whereas the mammary glands of most other mammals are located near the sexual organs and areas of waste excretion. Shen is one of the "Three Treasures" of Chinese medicine, the other two being chi (vital force) and jing (essence). The word shen translates roughly as "spirit." Shen vitalizes chi and jing in the body. Whereas movement is indicative of the presence of chi, and growth and renewal indicative of jing, consciousness indicates the presence of shen.

Methods of La Fonte de Lait Use
La Fonte de Lait is available in two forms: 1) diluted; 2) pure essential oil concentrate.
1) The diluted form contains 20% pure essential concentrate in a base of unrefined jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil and pure, natural Vitamin E. This form is used primarily for direct skin application. For general toning and beauty care of the breasts and/or direct interfacing with breast-related issues, massage about 5 to 7 drops of the blend into each breast once daily. Information on various forms of therapeutic and rejuvenating breast massage is readily available and may prove to be synergistic with the actions of La Fonte de Lait.
Women with breast cancer, even if in remission, should avoid direct massage of the breasts. However, La Fonte de Lait can be applied to other areas of the body, including the stomach area (immediately below the breastbone), the inside surface of the arms and the area around the navel. Women with breast diseases should check with their physician before applying La Fonte de Lait directly to the breasts.
Pregnant women can massage the formula directly into their breasts, but nursing mothers will need to determine their baby's reaction to the scent to decide whether or not they can use it on their breasts or would need to opt for one of the distal sites described in the previous paragraph. Even if the baby enjoys the scent, avoid the nipple and areolae so as not to alter the taste of the milk. If the child enjoys the scent, one may also rub a small amount of La Fonte de Lait (1 to 2 drops) dilute blend into the baby's navel and stomach region once every other day after a feeding.
2) The pure essential oil concentrate should not be applied undiluted to the skin. While the diluted blend is a 1:4 dilution (essential oils : base oils), the concentrate allows one the opportunity to dilute the formula according to individual preference. Some individuals will prefer a stronger dilution (e.g., 1:3) while others may prefer a milder one (e.g., 1:6). Standard massage oils are generally 2% dilutions (i.e., 1:50). Hence, one may wish to experiment with mild dilutions. In general, the range of 1:4 to 1:6 dilutions are the most preferred.
The undiluted concentrate can also be used as a subtle and relaxing, yet dynamic, bath oil. For this purpose, 6 drops of the concentrate is added to a full tub of warm water. An ideal time to apply the diluted blend directly to the skin is immediately after soaking in the scented water and breathing in its aromatic energies.
The 8 to 10 drops of the undiluted concentrate can also be added to an aromatherapy diffusor and dispersed into the air. This can be done while soaking in the bath, when breast-feeding, etc. A quick inhalation application of La Fonte de Lait entails tapping 2-drops of the concentrate onto the inside of one wrist, then rubbing both wrists together and inhaling deeply 10 to 20 times.
Men using La Fonte de Lait may opt for rubbing it into their breast region (if they do not have a history of breast cancer--a small percentage of breast cancer cases occur in men). However, rubbing a dilution of the concentrate or diluted blend into the stomach and navel region is, in general, the preferred site of application for men.
La Fonte de Lait is designed to act subtly on the level of the vital force. For this reason, overuse will actually yield diminishing returns. According to Maupertius' Law of Least Action: The quantity of action necessary to effect any change in Nature is the least possible; the decisive amount is always the minimum. Accordingly, the great homeopath J.T. Kent writes: "Any more than just enough to supply the susceptibility [of the individual] is a surplus."
